Freeze Warnings issued for northern counties

With high pressure anchored over the Southeast, cooler temperatures are expected to linger across Florida through the week, with a slight warming this weekend.  A freeze is expected in northern counties of the viewing area and patchy frost is possible across parts of inland Volusia and Lake counties.  The Orlando metropolitan area will see lows in the lower 40s.

"Tonight will be the coldest night by far that we've had for the winter season," said FOX 35/51 Chief Meterologist Glenn Richards. "We are expected to see temperatures drop into the 30s and low 40s."  Daily high temperatures will range from the lower-to-high 60s. Skies will remain mostly sunny, with an increased change for precipitation Thurday into Friday.
