Frost Advisory for parts of North Central Florida

Tonight, lows fall back into the 40s around Orlando, and mid-upper 30s over North Central Florida, where some patchy frost will be possible.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for several counties in the FOX 51 and FOX 35 viewing areas, including: Alachua, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Putnam and Sumter counties.  This is in effect from approximately 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. A Frost Advisory means that frost is possible. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

The remainder of the week brings plentiful sun and warming highs, returning to the 70s starting tomorrow, nearing 80 by Saturday in advance of a strong cold front. The front will bring rain back into the area overnight Saturday and for much of the day Sunday.

Behind the departing system, colder temps return by Sunday night and Monday.
