Gainesville officer helps struggling shopper with her purchases

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A Gainesville police officer helped a shopper over Thanksgiving weekend who was struggling to carry her purchases.

The resident, as the Gainesville Police Department tweeted, said that "I was fortunate enough to witness the true holiday spirit this weekend. I noticed a policeman come to an abrupt halt, jump from his car, and rush to help a shopper who was struggling to carry her purchases."
