Gainesville Police Department holds 4th Annual 'Shop with a Cop' event

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Gainesville Police Department held their fourth annual 'Shop With a Cop' event at the Butler Walmart.

33 local elementary kids got picked up from school by a Gainesville police officer and then they drove to the Walmart in Butler Plaza.

Each child got a $100 shopping spree and their very own officer to hang out with for the day.

After shopping, kids were treated to lunch and they got to take home a Christmas meal.
