TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (NSF) - With state Rep. Charlie Stone, R-Ocala, facing term limits next year, a Republican primary could be developing to replace him.
Williston Republican Joe Harding opened a campaign account Friday to run in 2020 in House District 22, which includes Levy County and part of Marion County, according to the state Division of Elections website.
Harding joined former Republican Rep. Kurt Kelly, who opened a campaign account last month to run for the seat.
Meanwhile this week, Fort Myers Republican Jenna Persons became the first candidate to open an account to try to replace Rep. Heather Fitzenhagen, R-Fort Myers, next year in Lee County’s House District 78. Fitzenhagen cannot run again because of term limit
