Home intruder who stabbed Ormond Beach couple sought by police

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Ormond Beach police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a couple in their home on Sunday.  Police say Adam Phillips, 30, and his wife, Shelly Phillips, 27 were both stabbed multiple times. 

Police said Shelly Phillips told them she came face-to-face with the suspect in her living room, just before 5 in the morning Sunday.  The man stabbed her, then her husband as he came into the room to help.  Police think the suspect got into the house through an unlocked garage door and left without taking anything.

Adam Phillips is in critical but stable condition and his wife is in stable condition.  The couple's children were in the house but were not hurt. Police called the Department of Children and Families and have placed the kids with a family member.
