Human remains found at Ray Wayside Park, closed for investigation
MARION COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Marion County Sheriff's Office says that on December 17th, an off-duty Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) detective was flagged down by several citizens at Ray Wayside Park located on NE 28th Lane in Silver Springs in reference to possible human remains being found.
Upon arrival, the detective said that he could confirm that it was human remains. The remains are still unidentified.
Marion County officials have closed Ray Wayside Park until further notice due to Major Crimes' on-going investigation.
