Lake County School Board to discuss school safety

Lake County School Board leaders had school safety on their minds this Monday.  They discussed four plans that would keep kids safe in the classroom.

One plan would create school resource officer positions through the sheriff's office, the second would use officers from multiple law enforcement agencies, the third would create a school police force, and the fourth would create armed guardians out of school employees who will be trained to handle an emergency.

According to the new law passed, each school district must work with agencies to assign one or more officers at Lake County schools.
