McDonald's offering free meals to Hurricane Irma first responders

McDonald's restaurants in Florida will be showing gratitude to the men and women who were on the front lines preparing for Hurricane Irma and to those who have helped in the recovery efforts.

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, firefighters, police officers, EMT/paramedics and national guard can have a free breakfast, lunch or Extra Value Meal dinner by showing a badge or ID at participating restaurants. The offer is good all day on Sept. 27.  No purchase is necessary.

Officials said the free meals are the company’s way of expressing gratitude toward first responders for all they do in their communities, including relief efforts during and after Hurricane Irma.
