Memorial at Orlando Publix for Pulse victim

One of the victims from the Pulse nightclub shooting worked at a Publix in College Park, and a memorial is now set up for Cory James Connell.  The tribute was created by a community that may have known his smile better than his name.

The community knew him as a happy, spirited man who had a lot ahead of him. It is a loss for his family, loved ones and the community.  "I knew it would be hours or days, before the ripple effect affected the community," said one shopper.  "This is as close as I came to knowing any of those who past, but it still feels too too close to home," said another.

At the Publix in College Park, there are pages of support for Connell.  Plenty of people who didn't know him personally, had the same question: "How can I help?"

A Go Fund Me account was established earlier this week and they reached their goal in the first day.  The City of Orlando has also created the OneOrlando Fund to assist the families of the victims and others impacted by this tragedy.

Connell, a graduate of Edgewater High School, was studying at Valencia College.  Not everyone lost a family member or close friend in the Pulse shooting, but many people say it feels like they have lost one of their own.
