Ocala Fire Rescue finds deceased body in home

OCALA, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A deceased body was found at an Ocala home early on Sunday morning. 

Police reported on Sunday that one person was declared deceased at an incident scene in Ocala.

Ocala Fire Rescue reportedly responded to southeast Seventh Street, where a structure fire was reported at 3:32 a.m. Light smoke was observed in the garage of a home, with no flames showing. Firefighters also found the charred remains of a person inside the garage.

The Ocala Police Department said that the scene was left as there was no structure fire to extinguish or heat found inside the home. Police, the Medical Examiner's Office, and the State Fire Marshall also responded to investigate.
