Orlando weather: Severe storms possible along Space Coast Monday night

Storms are expected to roll through Florida’s Space Coast Monday evening, with the potential for damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday Forecast: Evening storms linger

What to expect:

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect through 9 p.m., with the greatest risk of strong to severe storms concentrated in Brevard County on Monday evening

Locations along I-75 are expected to remain largely dry through the evening.

These storms along the Space Coast may produce wind gusts exceeding 60 mph, brief tornadoes, or small hail. The flash flooding threat remains low due to the fast-moving nature of the storm system.
