Police: 2 killed in Florida apartment complex shooting

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police say they've arrested a man suspected of fatally shooting two employees of a Florida apartment complex.

Gainesville police spokesman Ben Tobias says two men, identified as Robert Earl Brumbaugh and Jude Onyegbulam, were killed Tuesday afternoon at the Summer Place Villas. 

"The suspected shooter is in custody in Lownes County, Georgia. Officers there did recover a firearm and we're working to discover if it was the one used in this incident," Tobias explained.

Many residents at the Summer Place Villas expressed fear after walking up to the crime scene.  A bullet hole was visible in the office window.   

During all of this, a 19-year-old woman also went missing.  Her friends and family were crying out as neighbors hunkered down for hours.  That missing woman, later identified as a hostage of the accused gunman, was later located and is safe.

The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Cedric Tremaine Plummer.
