UDEST agents in Ocala reported that on January 24th, agents arrested two suspects after being found several different kinds of drugs and guns.

They say that on that day, agents observed activity consistent with drug transactions taking place in the parking lot of Dollar General on NW 10th Street. Upon contact with the subjects, the scent of marijuana was coming from their vehicle and multiple bags of marijuana were in plain view.

Agents said that at that time, Kevin Woods Jr. and Lyndell Thomas were detained. While being handcuffed, Woods retrieved a clear bag containing crack cocaine from his sweatshirt. A Glock pistol with an attached high capacity drum magazine was also found on the floorboard where Woods was sitting and it was readily accessible.

Agents said that they also found a backpack and bag containing a Smith and Wesson 040 caliber pistol, digital scale, baggies of MDMA in excess of 10 grams, marijuana packages for sale, and Fentanyl in excess of four grams. Both weapons were loaded with live rounds of ammunition in the chamber. A records check revealed that the Glock pistol was reported stolen in a previous Ocala Police Department case.

Agents continued to search the car, finding multiple bags or marijuana, loose currency, a bag of unidentified brown powder appearing to bet he same particles as the fentanyl substance, and another digital scale, says the agents.

Both subjects were arrested and charged.
