More than 300 passengers were affected after a flight was aborted due to a mechanical error on Friday night at the Melbourne-Orlando International Airport. Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the plane veered off a taxiway after exiting the runway, and its right main landing gear collapsed. The flight was set to take off around 11:10 p.m. and was headed to Birmingham, England. No one was injured during the incident.

Officials say two people were injured, with one declared a trauma alert, after a car crash on Saturday in Daytona Beach. The crash involved two cars at the intersection of Seabreeze Boulevard and North Peninsula Drive, authorities said. Reports show one of the cars involved in the crash slammed right into local business, Goldfingers Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery.

The Prince George?s County Police Department (PGPD) hosted a news conference on the officer-involved shooting that took place on Easter Sunday in Maryland. Police said they responded around 8:28 a.m. to a stabbing call in the area of St. George Boulevard and Potomac Passage. Officers said they found two people with critical stab wounds. Before fleeing the scene, investigators said the suspect also set fire to the apartment where the stabbing took place. Police said they shot and killed the suspect, who was still armed with a knife and moved towards them. No officers were hurt in the incident.

Ian Townsend said the suspect, 20-year-old Phoenix Iker, was unafraid to engage in political debates, but did not indicate violence. Ikner allegedly killed two and injured six during the mass shooting on Thursday near the school' Student Union. He was taken to the hospital after being shot by law enforcement.
