The world is saying goodbye to Pope Francis, five days after the pontiff died at 88 years old following a stroke. The funeral for Francis took place Saturday morning, with many world leaders and some 200,000 people attending. Following the funeral service, Francis’ body will be entombed at the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major. After a period of mourning, cardinals will gather to elect the next pope.

Wanted man dies after charging at Polk County deputy with knife

A man wanted for burglary and theft was shot and killed after charging at a Polk County deputy with a knife, according to Sheriff Grady Judd. Deputies were trying to track down 37-year-old John Snyder for burglary and theft when they located him just before midnight on Friday. Judd says that this incident marks three Fridays in a row where his deputies were forced to shoot at a suspect.
