The community has been stepping up to help the Southeast Volusia Humane Society after recent storms. The storms caused a large tree on the property to split dangerously. FOX 35's Morgan Parrish heads over to New Smyrna Beach for a look at the recovery efforts.

Organizers with the Brevard Renaissance Fair have decided not to host their festival in Brevard County, citing difficulties with county leadership. CEO Peter Moolhluizen cited challenges with the county, while the county cited code issues with a large castle-like structure and lack of rent payments.

Pulse Memorial update: New timeline on project released

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer hopes to have the city's Pulse Memorial built by summer 2027 -- a deadline two years away. On Monday, the Orlando City Commission approved a builder for the project. The Pulse Memorial is dedicated to the 49 people killed, 53 others hurt at the deadly shooting at Pulse Nightclub. Building a memorial has been years in the making, but was marred with funding and other issues with the onePulse foundation. That organization was eventually dissolved and the City of Orlando has since stepped in.

VIDEO: Woman walking struck by vehicle in Cocoa

A woman was struck by a vehicle while walking in a neighborhood Saturday morning in Cocoa, according to FHP. FHP released surveillance video that shows the woman being struck by the vehicle, possibly by its mirror. FHP said the driver of the vehicle drove away without checking on the woman. Officials are looking for a 2004-2008 silver or gold Honda Accord. It likely has damage to its passenger side mirror and front bumper.
