A woman was killed Wednesday morning in a crash in an Osceola County neighborhood. Investigators are searching for the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash who fled the scene. There is currently roadblock for both directions on Florida Parkway at Birchwood Circle.

Sheldon Wetherholt appears in court

A third suspect, Sheldon Wetherholt, has been arrested on racketeering and conspiracy charges related to an illegal gambling operation tied to former Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, officials say. Wetherholt, 58, appeared in court on Wednesday morning. At the hearing, a judge set his bond at $100,000 and ordered him to run over any firearms, as well as be fitted with a GPS monitor.

Orange County Sheriff: Man shot and killed by deputy

Orange County Sheriff John Mina held a media briefing at 7 p.m. on Saturday. During the event, Mina shared details about a deputy-involved shooting that took place earlier in the day in the area of North Ormond Drive. During the incident, a man with schizophrenia was shot and killed by a deputy. The deputy was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover. They are now on paid administrative leave.

1 killed, 3 hurt in Seminole County multi-car crash

Six people were involved in a deadly three-car fiery crash that took place Saturday morning in Seminole County, officials say. State Road 46 was closed in both directions at Osceola Road for several hours after the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is assisting in the investigation.
