Stardust Racers death: Bodycam released from first responders
The Orange County Sheriff's Office released bodycam video from the night Kevin Zavala died after riding the Stardust Racers ride at Epic Universe. The bodycam shows the moments when deputies responded to the emergency call. Zavala became unconscious on the ride and was rushed to the hospital where he died. The Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death an accident. Zavala's girlfriend was on the ride with him at the time. She said in the video that he hit his head after the first hill and she tried to hold him up, but couldn't due to the force of the ride. His family ultimately reached a resolution with Universal, attorneys said.

Instead, they thought it could be medication or drugs. Woods did take a breathe test and blew "triple zeroes," the sheriff said. However, he refused to take the urine test, which is a misdemeanor violation of state law. Woods was arrested under suspicion of DUI and booked into the Marion County Jail, officials said.

The Brevard County deputies arrested Theodore "Teddy" Gross on several charges, including: 3,787 counts of failure to obtain a certificate of destruction, 1,578 counts of violation of derelict motor vehicle regulations, grand theft, scheme to defraud, operating a chop shop, dealing in stolen property, conspiracy to racketeer, maintaining racketeering property and using proceeds from racketeering, the sheriff's office said. Ivey said Gross wasn't properly vetting the vehicles and was creating fraudulent registrations. Gross is being held without bond.

Now, the tenants of the Doctor Phillips complex, located in Orange County, demand damages in excess of $50,000 per resident due to moving and relocation costs – as well as the loss of use and the enjoyment of the dwelling units, the lawsuit said.

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil lawsuit against United Parks & Resorts, the parent company of SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, alleging that its ban on certain wheeled walkers and rollator walkers violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). "The ADA requires equal access for people with disabilities, and theme parks such as SeaWorld are no exception," said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division in a statement. FOX 35 Orlando has been reporting on SeaWorld's policy change since November 2025. Two weeks after FOX 35's reporting, the DOJ announced that it would open an investigation into potential ADA violations after receiving numerous complaints regarding the policy.

The investigation centered on Scrappys Auto Salvage, located on Korbin Avenue in Rockledge. Immigration activists were tipped off the search could also have to do with immigration and showed up to document the large-scale operation.
