School district considers arming teachers

Brevard County school leaders say that they are looking into a proposal that would arm its teachers. According to the Florida Department of Education’s website, 49 counties participate in the school guardian program. It gives schools the option to hire licensed security guards and/or train and arm its staff members with guns.
