Florida mom tried to sell baby for $500, police say
A Florida woman is accused of trying to sell her 18-month-old daughter for $500 to someone -- and then left the child temporarily alone after the person refused, according to the Palatka Police Department. Jessica Woods, 33, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of child neglect, abandonment, selling or surrendering a minor for property or money, and child abuse.
