8 dead, 40 hurt in migrant bus crash: officials
Eight people were killed and 40 others were injured when a migrant bus collided with a pickup truck in Marion County Tuesday morning, officials said. The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. on SR-40, west of SW 148 Court, between Dunnellon and Ocala. Troopers said a 2010 International Bus transporting 53 farm workers and a 2001 Ford Ranger truck, for unknown reasons, collided in a sideswiped manner.
