Orlando icon, hero laid to rest at Arlington cemetery
U.S. Air Force Col. Joe Kittinger has now been laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. In 1960, Kittinger jumped from a hot-air balloon at the edge of space. He was also a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Jeremy Hileman, assistant curator at Orange County Regional History Center, joined FOX 35's Garrett Wymer on FOX Orlando Live to talk about Kittinger's legacy in Orlando. Kittinger, who died in 2022, credited his Florida upbringing for teaching him courage.
