Assistant State Attorney Nicholas Camucci spoke with reporters shortly after a jury found Laurie Shaver guilty of second-degree murder in the death of her husband, Michael. Shaver was accused of killing her husband, burying him in the backyard of their home beneath a fire pit and newly-poured concrete slab, and then pretended to be him using his cell phone and Facebook profile. At trial, Laurie's daughter made a surrpise announcement that it was her who shot Michael, not Laurie, and that Laurie's boyfriend, also allegedly shot him, despire there being one bullet hole.
