Judge blocks Sarah Boone's lawyer's display in opening
Judge Michael Kraynick blocks accused killer Sarah Boone's lawyer, James Owens, from using a poster board displaying the language of the jury instructions for reasonable doubt. Judge Kraynick said the poster board showed the outdated language before Florida's reasonable doubt statute was updated earlier this year. Sarah Boone is the Florida woman accused of killing her boyfriend, Jorge Torres, in Feb. 2020 by locking him inside a blue suitcase during an apparent drunken game of hide-and-seek inside their Winter Park apartment.
