Ellen Gilland was found guilty of shooting and killing her dying husband in his hospital bed, part of an apparent suicide pact the two made. Ellen was found guilty of pointing a gun at nurses and police officers who responded. She was sentenced to 366 days in prison with 42 days time served, plus probation, and an order to write letters of apology to the victims.
