President Donald Trump met with newly-elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday in the Oval Office. In the meeting, Trump said he wanted Canada to be America’s 51st state, but was rebuffed by newly-elected Prime Minister Mark Carney in a tense exchange in the Oval Office. Carney said that Canada is “not for sale” and that the Canadian view on becoming the 51st state “is not going to change.”
