
Florida forming drowning prevention plan
Water safety experts, advocates and officials are forming a state plan to prevent drownings and held a meeting yesterday at a community center in Eatonville. Megan Ferraro, Executive Director of The ZAC Foundation joined FOX 35's Garrett Wymer live via Zoom to break down the mission to create a Florida Water Safety Strategy, part of a national 10-year roadmap to reduce drowning deaths which would begin in 2026. Florida has among the highest drowning rates of any state.
