Future of the Trop & Gas Plant District if Rays sell

The future of the Tropicana Field site and Historic Gas Plant District are up in the air as the local governments of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County continue to respond to the Rays entering exclusive and advance negotiations on a potential sale to a group of business leaders who would likely keep the team in the Tampa Bay area but not at the Trop site in St. Pete. Anthony Close, Founder of St. Pete Rising joined FOX 35's Garrett Wymer live via Zoom to discuss the future of the Trop site after St. Pete and Pinellas County agreed to conduct a feasibility study for a potential convention center as part of the new redevelopment plan for the Historic Gas Plant District.
