Playbook Tuesday: Tesla on Trial, Trump runs the table

On this Playbook Tuesday, POLITICO Florida reporter and Florida Playbook author Kimberly Leonard joins FOX 35's Garrett Wymer via Zoom to break down the federal court case out of Miami centering around Tesla's autopilot system where a jury will decide if the system is to blame for the death of a stargazing university student after a runaway Tesla sent her flying 75 feet through the air and severely injured her boyfriend. Leonard also breaks down the state of the 2026 Florida Governor's race where Congressman Byron Donalds appears to lead early polling with President Donald Trump's endorsement in tow and Donalds and Governor Ron DeSantis shying away from any kind of direct acknowledgement of whether First Lady Casey DeSantis could challenge Donalds in 2026. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier worked in the first Trump Administration and is working to earn an endorsement from the President, which would likely keep him in the Attorney General's office in 2026.
