Robin Severance-Lopez rejects plea; new trial date set
Robin Severance-Lopez, the estranged wife of suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, rejected a plea deal in court on Thursday morning, according to her attorney. Her trial is now scheduled for December 8, 2025. FOX 35's Marley Capper joins Garrett Wymer after spending the morning in the courtroom. Severance-Lopez has been charged with conspiracy to commit racketeering, a charge related to her estranged husband's alleged involvement in a multi-million-dollar illegal gambling ring in Orange and Osceola counties. She was recently arrested for a second time on a charge of providing false or misleading information related to bond after prosecutors alleged she lied about her financial circumstances. She has entered a not guilty plea on both charges.
