Holiday traffic expected to peak on Florida roads

Thanksgiving travelers are packing Florida’s highways, even as some stretches — like parts of I-4 in Volusia County — remain smooth moving at times. The Florida Highway Patrol is urging drivers to plan around peak congestion, saying those who didn’t leave before 11 a.m. on Wednesday may be better off waiting until the evening.
