Mayor Demings says mask mandate staying in place
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings on Thursday said that a countywide mask mandate will remain in place for the time being. While some states are doing away with the mandates, health experts say it could be premature to do so given that there are new daily coronavirus cases and deaths. Demings said it might be possible to lift the mandate over the summer if vaccines continue to rise and news cases dwindle.
