2 dead in Polk county officer-involved shooting
The Polk County Sheriff's Office held a press conference on an incident that Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd called a "classic suicide-by-cop." Derrick Byathrite allegedly mortally shot a his girlfriend the Spectrum parking lot where she worked, saying he'll kill her and then kill himself. Byathrite was then shot by five officers and two deputies after pointing a gun in their direction.
