Florida AG opens criminal investigation into Open AI, ChatGPT in wake of FSU shooting
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said his office is opening a criminal investigation into OpenAI and ChatGPT. It follows claims by prosecutors that the suspect in the deadly shooting at Florida State University shooting, Phoenix Ikner, communicated with ChatGPT's Chatbot ahead of the shooting. Florida AG's office has asked Open AI and ChatGPT for a series of records, training materials, and policies.
