OUC hosting Youth Energy Academy

Orlando Museum of Art hosting 'Low Vision Day'

Today, the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is partnering with eSight by Gentex to host “Low Vision Day." This event will offer free museum access and the use of wearable low-vision technology to help visitors with central vision loss experience art without limitations. The event is inspired by artist Kelly Joy Ladd, who lost part of her vision following a traumatic brain injury. In a moving full-circle moment, she now returns to OMA not as a visitor, but as one of the featured artists in this year’s Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibition. New library coming to Maitland

Maitland city leaders have approved the final plans for a new two-story public library and upgrades to Quinn Strong Park, marking a major milestone for a project years in the making. Maitland's original library was built in 1907. Stacie Larson, director of the Maitland library, joins Good Day Orlando to discuss the $16 million project.

Flooding fixes in Apopka discussed at meeting

Heavy downpours have caused big flooding problems for a neighborhood in Apopka. The city has implemented several temporary fixes in an effort to prevent the water from rising too high. 'Queen of Versailles' appears with President Trump

President Donald Trump signed legislation Wednesday afternoon that aims to curb the illicit flow of fentanyl into the United States during a bill-signing ceremony. The "Halt Fentanyl Act" permanently places fentanyl-related substances as a class into schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. Florida's own Jackie Siegel, the Queen of Versailles, was one of the family members who spoke of their loved ones at the bill signing.

Visiting 'This Old House' in Orlando

Why is everyone talking about 614 Lake Ave. in Orlando? Because it’s currently the oldest house for sale in the city. The Queen Anne Victorian was build in 1884 and is currently listed at $3.75 million. FOX 35's David Martin gives us a full tour.

Pulse Memorial update: New timeline on project released

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer hopes to have the city's Pulse Memorial built by summer 2027 -- a deadline two years away. On Monday, the Orlando City Commission approved a builder for the project. The Pulse Memorial is dedicated to the 49 people killed, 53 others hurt at the deadly shooting at Pulse Nightclub. Building a memorial has been years in the making, but was marred with funding and other issues with the onePulse foundation. That organization was eventually dissolved and the City of Orlando has since stepped in.

The annual Central Florida Job Fair taking place today from noon to 4 p.m. at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. More than 80 companies will be at the job fair offering more than 5,000 jobs and resources.

Street takeover takedown by FHP, Orange County deputies

Authorities in Orange County recently arrested two men following a chaotic Fourth of July street takeover involving nearly 50 vehicles, illegal stunt driving and fireworks launched from moving cars. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says more arrests may follow as the investigation continues.

2025 AAU Boys Basketball World Championships

The 2025 AAU Boys Basketball World Championships are taking place from July 3-10 at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This is the sixth year of the event since rebranding to the AAU Basketball World Championships and the 26th time it will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
