A Florida man accused of killing two brothers in a high-speed crash was denied bond after being charged with multiple felonies.  Marquaious Tayvon Wheaton, 26, stood before a Seminole County judge, Friday, after deputies said he evaded a traffic stop, was speeding at over 100 mph and crashed into a vehicle on the road. 

Plans for the largest Costco in Central Florida are underway. Taking the spot of the former Macys in the Seminole Towne Center, Costco is projected to arrive sometime in 2027 with a gas station and nearly 850 parking spots. 

Brothers Christopher J. Marier, 42, and Tyler M. Marier, 40 were killed after hit by a man speeding on U.S. Highway 17-92 on July 7, the sheriff's office reported. The suspect was taken to custody and is likely to survive his injuries, authorities say.

A suspect is in the hospital after he was involved in a deadly crash on July 7. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said it attempted to pull over the man in a traffic stop, before he fled and ultimately crashed into a car, killing two people and injuring a third. 

A deadly multi-vehicle crash came after an unsuccessful traffic stop by the Seminole County deputies. The sheriff's office reported that deputies attempted to stop a suspected drug trafficker, when the driver sped off and later hit another car while traveling over 100 mph. 

A suspected drug trafficker was speeding in Sanford, July 7, before hitting another vehicle and killing two people. A third person was rushed to the hospital and the suspect has been taken into custody. 

The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office has shared its preliminary report into the death of Brittany Clark. Clark was attacked and killed by an alligator while swimming at the Little Big Econ State Forest. She was swimming with her boyfriend and their friend. Two alligators were captured and killed after the attack. Bite marks matched one of them, the report said.

FULL PRESS CONFERENCE | The Seminole County Sheriff's Office provided an update on an early morning June 20 shooting, which resulted in two women hurt and a man dead. The sheriff said a man next to the deputy fired two shots, in which the deputy returned fire, killing the man. 

Released body camera footage from a Sanford block party shows a deputy-involved shooting in which a reported shooter was killed by a deputy. 

James Grover, the 63-year-old founder of the Sanford-based non-profit Special Needs Advocacy Program (SNAP), was sentenced to life in federal prison following his March conviction for coercing and enticing an autistic minor into sexual activity. The FBI said Grover targeted young boys while working at SNAP and Autism on the Seas, using his professional authority to send explicit, inappropriate messages to children under his care.
