With only a few days before the start of the 2025 hurricane season, officials with the National Hurricane Center are talking about hurricane preparation and response, as well as the outlook for the upcoming season, historic trends and new technology to help with forecasting. The 2025 hurricane season begins Sunday, June 1.

Another hurricane season is on the way and set to begin on June 1. However, there is still time to prepare. This week is National Hurricane Preparedness Week.
