Speaking at a news conference Saturday morning Leitha said 18 adults and nine children have been recovered. More than 24 hours into the recovery efforts, Leitha said 850 people have been rescued uninjured and another eight were rescued with injury. Among those confirmed dead Saturday morning, Leitha said six adults and one child remain unidentified.

If, by chance, the storm's peak winds managed to reach 40 mph, it would become Tropical Storm Barry. Tropical Depression Two is currently in the Southern Bay of Campeche riding along the Mexican Coast.
