Altamonte police search for missing teen girl with autism

The Altamonte Springs Police Department (ASPD) is asking for the public's help in locating a 13-year-old girl with autism who went missing on Tuesday. Police say Rachael Scott was last seen around 5:15 p.m. in the area of Wymore Road in Seminole County. Anyone with information on Rachael's location is asked to call the ASPD at (407) 339-2441 or to dial 911.

Officials searching for injured black bear in Altamonte Springs

The search is on for an injured black bear in Seminole County. Wildlife officials said the bear was spotted in Altamonte Springs with a big wound under its arm. Officials have posted door hangers on houses in the area, warning locals of the injured bear and asking them to reach out if they spot the animal.

Child killed in apartment fire in Altamonte Springs

A child was killed in an apartment fire overnight in Seminole County, officials said. The blaze broke out shortly before 1:30 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 857 Ballard Street in Altamonte Springs.
